We recently provided wedding catering for 120 guests at the fabulous location of Hargate Hall for a weekend. The catering included a wedding breakfast, evening buffet, a full English breakfast the next day and a hot lunch before the guests departed.
There can’t be many nicer places to be than England in the Summertime! Especially if you were a guest at a friend’s wedding, set in rural Derbyshire. Such as Hargate Hall near Buxton, and even better if the wedding breakfast is being catered for by the Cheshire based company – By Request Ltd.
The menu enjoyed by the guests was;
THE WYE FORK BUFFET
A Purse Of Smoked Salmon Filled With A Salmon Mousse
~ Or ~
Stilton And Walnut Revival With Baby Croissant (V)
Blushing Sirloin Of Scottish Beef
Chicken With Eight Jewel Stuffing

By Request is different from most catering companies – ALL our menus and services are bespoke to each individual client. We do as much or as little as the client wants. At this wedding the client wanted a semi – formal wedding breakfast consisting of the menu above where guests came up to the buffet table and were served by waitresses. The waitresses then cleared and served wine, dessert, coffee and cheeses. Then in the evening something less formal was wanted in the way of food, so the bride and groom opted for assorted hot filled baguettes with chips. This was to be made available from 8.00 till 11.00 where people came for food as and when they were hungry. The smell of hot steak and onion sandwiches, or roast pork, sausage and apple soon drew the crowds.
